Nokia Lumia 525 announced in Singapore

Lumia525-WMP

Nokia has announced the newest manufacturer’s low-end smartphone, the Nokia Lumia 525, for Singapore markets. The phone is priced at $249 Singapore Dollars ($198 USD). The device replaces the successful Nokia Lumia 520.

The main difference between the Nokia Lumia 520 and the Lumia 525 is the RAM capacity. The 520 only offers 512 megabytes of RAM, while the 525 is cranked up to 1 gigs of RAM. This means that this phone is capable of running some high-class app on WP marketplace.

The back covers (or ‘shells’) are also exchangeable, which the Lumia 520 doesn’t offer. There are three colours available. They’re the glossy orange, yellow, and white. The back covers (or you can read it ‘shells’) are made of the same material on the Lumia 1520 and 2520’s back cover.

After Singapore, the phone will launch in Africa, Middle East and other Asian countries.

8.1-ev

A small screenshot of Windows Phone 8.1 aka WP Blue (as seen above) is leaked by well-known leaker @evleaks. The screenshot unveils that there are on-screen buttons (similar to Android 4.0). This means the touch-sensitive capacitive buttons are no longer there in the bottom of the display (in the (smart)phone).

Other features that the WP 8.1 offers are the notification center, enhanced multi-tasking functionality, and a voice assistant (like Siri).

The Windows Phone 8.1 unveiling is expected to be April 2-4, 2014.

sony-logo-white

As always, Sony is sending an invitation in CES showing some new phones and creations. A few hours ago, the invitation card of Sony’s CES 2014 has been leaked. The event’s date is Monday, January 6, 2014 at 17.00 in Las Vegas.

Some rumoured device like the Sony Xperia Z1 mini or the international version of Sony Xperia Z1f, the Xperia Z1 refresh (Xperia Z1s), and the WiFi only version of Xperia Z Ultra may launched at the event. However, we can’t see the flagship Sony 2014 model (Codename is Sirius — possibly named Xperia Z2) to be announced on CES because it’s like it’s too early to (again) announce the flagship phone.

Check here if you want to know the time of Sony’s CES 2014 press conference in your timezone.
